The 4th International Conference on Polar and Alpine Microbiology will be held from 4. 9. 2011 to 8. 9. 2011 in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
This meeting will be a continuation of the highly successful meetings previously held in March 2004 in Rovaniemi, Finland, March 2006 in Innsbruck, Austria and May 2008 in Banff, Canada, which brought together leading international researchers and students in this field.
The objectives of the Ljubljana meeting will be again to bring together scientists, students and professionals to discuss all aspects of cold-adapted microorganisms and the roles they play in polar and alpine environments, to address recent developments and to exchange ideas and experiences on an international scale. In addition, this meeting will have sessions dealing with cold-adapted fungi and viruses.
We look forward to seeing you in Ljubljana!
